I am extremely honored and proud to have been awarded the 2010 Amy Gillett Foundation Scholarship!

Firstly I would also like to acknowledge Amy Gillett – a talented and courageous Australian I have always been inspired by even before taking up cycling. Also thank you to the members of the 2005 AIS squad and the 4 previous scholarship holders for your inspiring leadership – I have very much looked up to you all whilst on the road to becoming an elite cyclist.

I am very motivated at the opportunity to race with the AIS and establish myself as a valuable member of the Australian Women’s Cycling team in Europe during 2010.

Secondly I’d like to acknowledge the work of the AGF, I am continually impressed with the

impact the foundation is having on awareness of cyclists on Australian roads. I am equally excited at my role in representing what the AGF stands for.

As an elite athlete I look forward to developing a community leadership role as I progress through my cycling career. I am extremely proud and prepared to be an ambassador for the AGF, cycling road safety and women’s cycling within the community.

In essence, I am simply honored to for the opportunity to further develop my confidence, leadership and sportsmanship onward to becoming a successful Australian cyclist and truly live in Amy’s footsteps
